Music for the Mountain Folks: We will get through this
Tonight I play for the mountain folks. The place where I grew up, the place where I lived for most of my life and the amazing folks.
Many people there are fighting along side the fire fighters, some have sought shelter and everyone is hoping for the best, prepared for the worst.
My family is safe, moms house is still standing and we are all anxiously watching the internet for news on the fires progression.
Tonight I play for them. IF you are inclined to tip please sed it down. I will be donating the proceeds to one of our local musicians that has been displaced by the fire.
The last time I did this I raised $120 and gave it to a bassist I've play with in the past that lives in the hills here.
